David A. Eddy

 

David A. Eddy is the managing partner of Cobb Eddy, PLLC and has garnered a reputation as a tireless attorney with a diverse background in civil, criminal, entertainment and sports law. In addition to overseeing the firm’s day-to-day operations and strategic direction, David maintains an active practice, serving as outside counsel to a diverse range of business entities, advising them of their legal and regulatory needs, as well as to individuals navigating the legal process.

David began his career as a solo practitioner before co-founding the current firm in 2013.  While in private practice, David has represented hundreds of clients in a variety of matters and at all stages of litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and alternative dispute resolutions. In addition to his law practice, David is also president of the Cobb Eddy Sports Group where he represents numerous professional athletes handling contractual negotiations as well as overall support of their business affairs. David is duly licensed as a certified agent by the Major League Baseball Player’s Association and by the National Football League Player’s Association (NFLPA) as a certified contract advisor.

Also very active in the community, David serves on the Board of Trustees of the iTrace Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the funding of traditional and clinical research on health care issues that affect the health care system, the health care worker, and the health care recipient.

A native Floridian, David is a graduate of The Florida State University where he was a member of the 1999 national championship football team. David earned his law degree from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University where he was on the Dean’s List.
